I’m reading “No dealing desk” on the broker’s platform. What does it mean?

There are two types of brokers, Dealing desk and No Dealing Desk. Dealing Desk brokers create a market for their clients, meaning they often take the other side of a client’s trade. No Dealing desk brokers are called ECN (electronic communication network). ECN brokers do NOT pass their clients’ orders through a Dealing Desk, meaning they do not take the other side of their client`s trade. They act as a bridge between a buyer and a seller, and they try to connect when a trader wants to buy some instrument with somebody who wants to sell the same instrument for the same order.
